SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -Bowl Game Day means a critical mass of motorists in the Independence Bowl stadium area in Shreveport police said.
Ahead of the extra cars heading to the game Shreveport Police have a plan to manage the traffic to and from the game.
Shreveport Police Sgt. Bill Goodin says additional officers will be in place to direct traffic. Police recommend to game participants to take advantage of the shuttle service being offered to avoid traffic hang ups.
Peak traffic, according to police is expected at the stadium between the hours of 2 p.m. and the game kick-off time of 4 p.m. Traffic should get heavy again once the bowl ends and after the game concert.
