Air Force Wins Independence Bowl
Jared Tew put Air Force ahead with a 3-yard touchdown run, and the Falcons beat Georgia Tech, 14-7, in the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, La. The Falcons (9-4) got field goals from the backup kicker Zack Bell on his first two career attempts, then drove for Tew’s touchdown after a muffed punt return by Georgia Tech (7-6) late in the third quarter.
